Daddy and Mommy Weekend Get-a-way

This past weekend Austin and I took a mini get-a-way just the two of us! Logan and her puppies Linc and Ellie stayed at Nana and Papa's house. Austin and I stayed out at Mema and Pepa's house and went horse back riding the first day. It was a beautiful cool fall morning and we absolutly loved being outside in the fresh air riding the horses.

Then we headed to the Witchita Mountians to hike all day Sunday.
Talk about beautiful, below is a picture from the top of Mt. Scott. The picture below is one of many mountains that make up the Witchita Mts. This is the mountian that Austin and I climbed to the top of. It was so awesome to climb the boulders and try to find the next way to get just a little higher. Well, we did it and we made it to the top!

Over all this was an absolutely amazing good time! I can't wait to be able to take Logan someday! If she is anything like her Daddy and I she will love every minute of the adventure- just as we did!

Safaris Rescue Sanctuary- Family Day Trip

Ok...So yesterday Austin, Logan and I had an awesome family day trip to a local Safari Rescue Sanctuary and it was amazing! This place doesn't even compare to the zoo. There is a guided tour of the big cats and you actually get to feed these incredible animals. They also have camels, lama's, monkeys, donkeys, reptiles, kangaroos, wolves and sooo much more. Almost all of the animals have been rescued and are very people friendly so you are able to interact with them! Austin loved the Liger (Lion-father Tiger-mother)---yes, there is such a thing! We also learned that there is also a Tigon (Tiger-father Lion-mother)...educational as well...hahaha! Logan and I loved the kangaroos, we were able to get in the pen with them and play/cuddle/pet them. Kangaroo's are incredible soft and affectionate (sorry we didn't get pictures...to busy playing with them). Anyhow, I am so geeked about this place and highly recommend it...we will certainly go back! Oh, did I mention that it is only $6 per person and kids under 3 get in free. No...I am not a paid spokes person...we just had a blast!
Hope you enjoy the pictures.

This one is the wildest of them all!

Ahhh, the donkey's! This one is for Papa!
